It’s Time to Take Care of Your Mental Health

Sound mental health provides essential support for every aspect of your well-being. However, it can be easy to forget the importance of mental wellness in the hustle and bustle of daily life. In a worst-case scenario, this can eventually lead to the onset of depression or another serious issue. Fortunately, ample resources are available to help you take better care of your mental health. One such resource is a depression wellness center.

At Springfield Wellness, we specialize in top-quality resources to support mental health. Included among those resources is our depression wellness center. With help from our staff of caring experts, you can create a customized plan for depression recovery. This plan serves as the foundation for your return to sound health and well-being.

Springfield Depression Counseling

Depression counseling can play an important role in your recovery process. This counseling may involve any of several therapy options, including:

  • Cognitive-behavioral therapy, or CBT
  • Interpersonal therapy, or IPT

Both of these therapies can be beneficial in a relatively short amount of time. In CBT, you examine the negative impact of your typical thoughts, beliefs, and behaviors. You also learn how to develop alternative patterns that have a more positive impact on your mental health. The result may be a significant decrease in your depression symptoms.

IPT focuses on two other key issues:

  • Personal conflicts with other people
  • A lack of quality social support in daily life

IPT helps you improve your ability to communicate with others in meaningful ways. It also helps you avoid communication patterns that can make your depression worse. Be aware that you may also receive other forms of therapy in Springfield depression counseling.

Substance Treatment at Our Depression Wellness Center

Depression can be accompanied by other serious mental health issues. Those issues often involve drug or alcohol use. If you’re affected by depression and substance problems, you have what’s known as a dual diagnosis. This name is used for any combination of mental illness and addiction.

If you have a dual diagnosis, your recovery challenges are multiplied. Why? To regain your mental health, you need effective depression treatment. At the same time, you also need effective substance treatment. One without the other will not be enough to support you.

At Springfield Wellness, you can include dual diagnosis care in your overall recovery plan. This approach helps ensure that all areas of your mental health are addressed. It also helps ensure that you have every opportunity to regain your sense of wellness.

NAD Therapy at Our Mental Health Wellness Center

Springfield Wellness also offers treatment options not common to most depression programs. A prime example is something called NAD therapy. This therapy is based on awareness of the importance of nicotinic adenine dinucleotide, or NAD. You make your own supply of this chemical and rely on it to maintain some key brain functions.

Unfortunately, people with depression may have unusually low NAD levels. As a result, lack of adequate amounts of this chemical may lead to a worsening of your symptoms. NAD therapy helps prevent this by boosting your NAD levels through IV treatments. Our mental health wellness center is one of the few in America to offer this treatment option.
