It’s more important than ever to
strengthen our connections

[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image source=”featured_image” img_size=”full” alignment=”center” onclick=”custom_link” img_link_target=”_blank” link=”https://www.springfieldwellnesscenter.com/about-springfield-wellness-center/”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]And connection is just a click away!
How do we navigate through our current paradigm of life, both personally and professionally? Many are experiencing uncertainty, doubt, fear, and suffering, or know somebody who is. Navigating the murky waters between responsible isolative behaviors and our individual needs for connection will test many.

How do we make our way through this difficult time without slipping into darkness while isolating from the world around us? Darkness can take on many different shapes, intensities and hues, all the while creeping back into our lives through the mandate of isolation.

We can bring some sunlight in through written correspondence, a phone call, or a walk with a friend, keeping six feet of distance, of course. Light can be reflected in our lives through spiritual pursuits in every action we take. We must all continually be seeking connections during this time of mandated isolation.

This is an ideal time for a thorough self-inventory and house-cleaning. Take this opportunity to pause and reflect; to take a good look inside ourselves and ask the question, how are we doing and what can we do to make this unprecedented time and stressful world a better place to be?

Here at Springfield Wellness Center, we have transitioned our twice-monthly Wellness Empowerment (WE) meetings to online. WE is designed specifically to meet the needs of the SWC alumni who have expressed the interest and desire to participate in a support group in contrast to the traditional 12-step meeting model. We offer a safe, therapeutic and trusting environment for patients and former patients to meet as a group for the personal benefits that come from group participation, such as social/emotional support, building of hope and confidence, and the exchange of ideas and energy. Remember, there is strength in numbers!

If you’re a current or former patient who would like to join us, please email the [email protected]. We “meet” on the second Tuesday evening of every rotation from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. (This has now become known as Tune-up Tuesdays.) If space is available, you’re also welcome to come in at noon for a maintenance booster, and stay for the meeting.

This link: Addiction Technology Transfer Center Network, or ATTC Network offers many other ways to stay connected to support and encouragement—which we all are needing now!

Know someone struggling? Give the gift of hope!
