Free Grand Rounds Lecture on NAD+

Friday, May 12, 2023 – 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Springfield Wellness Center is hosting a free grand rounds lecture on nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD) and its role in the treatment of addiction, chronic pain, and neurodegenerative diseases, including Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s, as well as in a variety of cognitive decline syndromes, such as chemo brain, post-viral epidemic syndrome, and others.

Alignright Size Medium Wp Image 176The informal talk will be presented by Dr. Fenton Le Bon, a psychiatrist, addiction specialist, and the CEO of Molecular World Health. It will take place on Friday, May 12, from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the library located at:

Springfield Wellness Center, 32872 Cullom Road, Springfield, LA 70462

Founders Paula Norris Mestayer and Dr. Richard F. Mestayer will also be on hand, as this is intended as the first in a series of talks. Beverages and light snacks will be served.

Springfield Wellness Center is the pioneering clinic that first introduced intravenous NAD+, a natural precursor of vitamin B3, to the U.S. more than 20 years ago. Ever since, the clinic has been offering intravenous infusions of NAD+ as a safe, effective drug detox protocol that reduces cravings and withdrawal symptoms without substituting another narcotic.

As its understanding of NAD+ has grown, the clinic has expanded its treatment offerings to serve patients with various mental and cognitive conditions, from depression and PTSD to Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and even chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE). Because NAD+ is essential to every cell in the human body and the body’s production of NAD+ declines with age, stress, and other factors, many people also seek out the clinic’s NAD+ infusions as an anti-aging strategy.

Dr. Le Bon, who mentored with Dr. Mark Gold, a world-renowned expert on addiction-related conditions, will give the presentation, which will address intravenous NAD+ as a superior alternative to medically assisted detox, which substitutes one addictive narcotic, such as methadone or Suboxone, for the illegal one. He will also discuss exciting developments in NAD treatments for other conditions, including chronic pain, cognitive disorders, and chemo brain.

“We’re very excited about informing the community about all the exciting applications for NAD+ that are being discovered and for giving doctors, and their patients hope that various conditions can be reversed with intravenous and other forms of NAD+,” Dr. Le Bon said.

To RSVP or for more information about the Grand Rounds presentation, please call (225) 294-6207. Please visit our website for more information about Springfield Wellness Center and its intravenous NAD+ detox and other treatment programs.
